Lab Equipment

Balance- A weighing device with a beam that supports pans at each end that will balance when they have an equal weight.

Watch Glass- A small piece of glass used as a surface to evaporate liquid or as a cover for a beaker.

Dropper- A pipette with a small tube with a vacuum bulb at one end for drawing liquid in and releasing it a drop at a time.

Funnel- A utensil with a conical shape with a narrow tupe at one end to get liquid pour substances into a small opening.

Wash Bottle- a flexible squeeze-bottle with delivery tube, or a bottle having two tubes through the cork, so arranged that blowing into one will force a stream of liquid from the other; used in washing chemical materials.

Test Tube- a tube of thin glass closed at one end, used for various procedures in chemistry and for the growth of bacterial.

Test Tube Holder-  Made out of wire to hold a test tube.

Clay Triangle-  Used to hold a crucible while the crucible is hot.

Buret Clamp- Holds lab equipment with a firm grasp to insure that the procedure is safe.

Pipet-  Used to measure small amounts of solution accurately.

Erlenmeyer Flask-  Used for fermination for microbiologists and also used for general measuring or storing.

Graduated Cylinder - A glassware that is used for measuring the volumes of liquids in a quantitative manner.

Stirring Rod - Can be used to stir liquids in flasks or beakers.

Spatula -   can be used to remove a sample from the weighing bottle and the sample placed directly into the flask.

Iron Ring- Holds glassware and other objects in experiments.

Evaporating Dish- Used to heat and evaporate liquids.

Rubber Stopper- Holds liquids in test tubes and flasks.

Test Tube Rack- Used to hold many types of test tubes.

Crucible Tongs- Used for moving crucibles when they are still hot, but cooled down a little.

Utility Clamp- An open clamp with a spring used to hold iteams down.

Buret- A vertical cylyder that is used to measure presice amounts of liquids.

Beaker-  Hold and work with liquids, it can also be graduated for approximate measures of volume.

Florence Flask- Used to heat substances evenly.

Goggles - Is a potective eyewear that you wear when working in any science lab and specially when using chemicals.

Forceps - a tool for picking up small insect.

Wire Gauze - Is disclosed to include an open frame, a plurality of wire gauze filter elements made of paper, nonwoven fabric, and fire netting material.

Ringstand - are used to hold glassware in place during an experimental procedure.

Mortar & Pestle - Is often used to grind and prepare reactants for solid state.

Test Tube Brush - Is used to easily clean the inside of a test tube.

Crucibles - Are used to heat small quantities to very high temperatures.

Bunsen Burner - is to heat substances, and it can be regulated by changing the air and gas mixture.

Beaker Tongs - is used for handling hot glassware.
